Beginners Cushion with introduction to Appliqué Sunday 10th August 2025 at 2 pm to 5 pm
Have a sewing machine but not quite sure where to start well this workshop will be perfect for you.
Learn how to make a simple enveloped backed cushion with an introduction to creating a simple appliqué design.
You will need to bring along your own sewing machine (it’s always better to learn on your own machine - otherwise it’s like wearing someone else’s slippers!)
If you are struggling to bring your own machine or don’t have one just yet then it may be possible to borrow one at a small additional charge. Please enquire.
It would be helpful for you to bring along your own, tape measure, a rectangle quilters ruler, your own pins and needles and your own scissors, although it may be possible to borrow some. Please specify during the checkout process or at the time of booking.
All fabric will be provided including a quality duck feather pad. If you prefer to bring along your own you are more than welcome.
Size of cushion we will be making is a 12” square.
Suitable for beginners.
Tea/coffee and of course something delicious will also be included. Please specify at the checkout stage or time of booking if you have any special dietary needs.
Workshop will take place in the shop, which will be closed at the time the workshop is running so no interruptions.
Workshop is limited to a maximum of 4 people due to space but this also allows for a more intimate teaching experience.
You can either book by buying this workshop via the website (please opt for Free Click and Collect Delivery when at checkout) or by telephoning Angela on 07932 064247 or by popping into the shop in Melrose to reserve your space.
